Academy Pet Hospital is pleased to continue offering our clients a trusted option for pet boarding through our sister practice, Cross Creek Animal Hospital. Our boarding services have transitioned to Cross Creek, where dogs and cats can receive attentive care and comfortable accommodations while their families are away.

Academy Pet Hospital remains here for your pet’s veterinary care. 

Moving boarding to our sister location allows our team to focus on your pet’s medical needs while keeping convenient boarding available within our extended veterinary family.

New Location, Same Loving Care

If your pet previously boarded with us at Academy Pet Hospital, future stays will now take place at our sister practice, Cross Creek Animal Hospital. Located less than 10 minutes away, Cross Creek’s boarding facility was recently renovated with comfort in mind, creating a cozy, thoughtfully designed environment where pets can relax while you are away.

What to Expect at Cross Creek

As Academy Pet Hospital’s sister practice, Cross Creek shares our commitment to attentive, compassionate care. You can feel confident knowing your pet will receive the same level of care and attention you have come to expect from our veterinary family. Veterinary support is also nearby if a medical concern arises during your pet’s stay.

Cross Creek offers individual housing, fresh water and clean bedding, along with daily exercise, activity and individual attention from the boarding team.

Daycare is included with boarding when appropriate and may include outdoor time, supervised group play, one-on-one attention, enrichment and time to rest and recharge. Group play is based on what is safest and most appropriate for each pet.

Making the Move is Easy for Academy Boarding Families

Our goal is to make the transition as seamless as possible for you and your pet.

For Academy boarding clients:

• New temperament tests are not required
• Academy will send your pet’s medical records and relevant patient behavior notes directly to Cross Creek
• Boarding requirements closely match those previously used at Academy
• Your pet can continue receiving veterinary care at Academy Pet Hospital

Boarding Requirements

Pets staying at Cross Creek must meet current boarding health requirements, which include:

• Rabies vaccination
• Distemper/Parvo/Leptospirosis vaccination
• Canine influenza vaccination
• Bordetella every six months
• Fecal testing every six months

Requirements may change, so please confirm current requirements with Cross Creek when making your reservation.

Food, Medications and Special Care

You may bring your pet’s food in a sealed, labeled container with feeding instructions, or ask Cross Creek about available house food.

If your pet needs medications during their stay, bring them in the original container with clear labeling and instructions. Be sure to let the boarding team know about any allergies, medical conditions or other special-care needs.
