We’ve developed comprehensive wellness care services that are specifically designed to assist your pet through every life stage.

When you bring your pet in to see us once or twice a year, our doctors are able to gather a complete and accurate picture of your companion’s overall health. We can then use this information to monitor your pet’s health for any changes that may occur over time. In many cases, we are able to identify potential concerns so they can be addressed right away, before they have a chance to develop into a more serious and costly problem. Early detection of disease can vastly improve your pet’s quality and length of life, and can save you money on medical care and treatments over time.

During a wellness exam, our veterinarian will conduct a thorough physical exam, checking your pets eyes, ears, nose, mouth and skin for any abnormalities or inconsistencies. We’ll then assess the function of your pet’s internal systems, such as the heart and lungs, to make sure everything sounds normal. Should the vet deem it necessary, diagnostic tests, such as urinalysis and blood work may be ordered to help us better assess your pet’s health.

Wellness visits also provide us with the opportunity to get to know you and your pet better so that we can develop a more customized health care plan that is tailored to meet your pet’s unique needs. We’ll ask you questions about your pet’s lifestyle at home and discuss things like behavior, nutrition and weight management as well as an appropriate vaccination schedule and parasite prevention plan. The better we understand your pet, the better the quality of care we can provide over his or her lifetime.

Finally, we want you to become an active participant in your pet’s health care.
